Difference Between Bespoke and Made to Measure Shirts
In the business world, fashion also exists. In business gathering events, every businessman always wear their best business attire. This is because, what they are wearing is what they are. Businessmen from all over the country, especially those who own a multi-million dollar company, have their own master cutter or head tailor who would do their suits and shirts for them. These suits and shirts are only made for them, and these suits are all about the client’s wants. These suits are often what we call the premium or the superior ones because of how the details are well thought and the fitting is perfect. On the other hand, there are also suits and shirts that are pre-made which are often what most businessmen today are wearing. Pre-made suits and shirts are only perfected or finished when a client wants it and have been measured for it to see if there is a need for adjustments. These two kinds of tailored suits and shirts do not have much of a difference but they are different from each other.
The two mentioned tailoring style above are bespoke and made to measure. These two terms have been used incorrectly today and a lot of people especially those who are not knowledgeable in the tailoring world, are confused as to what really is the difference between the two terms.
To help you understand the gray area on this matter, here are the clear differences between the two tailoring styles:
Bespoke shirts – are very much exclusive to the client who had it made. If the client wants a bespoke made to measure shirts Sydney, he is the only one who has the right to wear it because technically speaking, it is his and it is for him and him alone. This is because all the details and measurements of this tailoring technique is what the client wants. The master cutter and head tailor will start from scratch to create the shirt that the client wants to be made.
Made to Measure shirts – as mentioned above, these shirts are pre made and so, there are a lot of people who can have it. Anyone can have the same style of this shirt because it is pre made. This means that you have the chance to bump into someone who is wearing the same shirt as you are because the style and the idea of the shirt is available to everybody
Bespoke shirts – When a client wants a bespoke shirt, he is given a numerous option of fabric which can range from 10 fabrics or so. This means that the client will really find something that he wants and does not have to settle with only what is available.
Made to Measure shirts – made to measure shirts can have a fabric option of two or if the client is lucky, he can have three options. This is because the shirts are pre made. The client will have to settle the fabrics that are only available for his chosen shirt.
